The Lone Viewer II

By saltireblue
After the enlightenment of last week's image, we are back to the darker side of life this week and an image which is anything but high key.

I might actually venture out into the big bad world of the city and try some street stuff this week. I've been caged up more than long enough and feel the need to get back to some normality, even if it does mean taking a risk amongst the great unmasked public. My mask will be well and truly in place despite the easing of the rules whereby face protection is now only advised and no longer mandatory...

Many thanks indeed for all the interest in last week's effort - always delighted at the responses.

Thanks for bothering.
Malc

Nicely done, Malc. Well balanced tones of the photos and the wall, good use of 'negative space, nice L shape of the viewer and the exhibits. The lady seems to moving away but has turned back to take a second look at the photographs.

Take an award for this one Malc.
The white line of her shoe adds just enough weight to the bottom, with the lighter floor, without taking away from the main focal points.

Good to see the return of solarised photographs, Malc; Man Ray strikes again! Clearly a well-chosen exhibition and the ideal place to seek the perfect black & white of your own Smile

A great image. I like how the lady with blonde hair, and white soles on her shoes, so she still is separated from the dark background. Extremely well processed!

Very nice young Malc. The viewer has a slight glow, had she just beamed in or was she on her way out...Smile

I like this one as well. I always wear my mask when I go out. And dark glasses. And hoody. That way I can't catch anything. I also put a bag over the CCTV camera so they can't catch me. I 'lifted' a load of colour film the other day. Know anybody who wants some? 🥴
Yours, with a welcome in the hillsides albeit a bleak one, Mrs Trellis of North Wales (aka The Mask of Sorrow.)

Glorious image - will you settle for a virtual gong for this one? 🏆

Brilliant composition - splendid processing. Love it ! Found it a week late, but it has to have another award so I'll be back again tomorrow.
David

PS I've just ordered the 16-80mm for the Fuji to go with the 70-300mm. The 55-200mm is already sold and I'm selling the 100-400mm and the 18-55 to pay for it all. Travel light !
