Welcome to EPZ.

You have loaded this image in the critique section.

It makes a nice panorama, and with some small adjustments in Photoshop to increase contrast it can be improved quite a bit.

As it looks is slightly flat, with the tonal range compressed, showing little dark or bright detail.

Also, - perhaps cropping so the apparent horizon appars on the third line may give it more of a panoramic feel, - but its a matter of taste.

I have uploaded a couple of mods for comparison, one colour with the curves adjusted to improve contrast and detail, and the second as a B&W which works well also. Both have been cropped, removing some of the sky.

Hope this is helpful,

Regards

I agree with much of what Willie's said. a more panoramic crop would work quite well, and i'd suggestcropping from the top so the diagonal cloud top left just cuts the corner. yes it ould also do with a boost in contrast.

obviously nothing you can do about it now, but compositionally it's a bit static and may have done with a bit more of something in the foreground to lead the eye into the picture..
just my thoughts, hope they're some use. I'm just jealous reallySmile

Looks like the Plains of Rohan to me mate Wink

Good shot with great potential as the mods show - just needs a little juicing up to bring out all the punch!

Lovely image . . . . to me it looks like the desolate Mount Cook road with lake Pukaki in the distance (Mount Cook behind you), not far from Twizel.
