The handbag at her feet should have been removed, as it's a distraction. Otherwise a decent effort though.

Hi, Sam, I keep looking at this and think it's fine. I like the positioning of the lady and the space you have left for context. The texture on the rock is very unusual and nicely defined in that light. I feel that, since she has sunglasses on and we don't have eye contact, she could have been looking up at the sun or out at the sea, but that's a minor point. You handled the strong sunlight well, your exposure looks fine. For me personally, colour would be more appealing, giving more of a "holiday in the sun" feel, but the choice is yours.

To me there is not enough detail in the sea and on the rocks. The image also appears as noisy to me. Personally i would have appreciated being asked to hide the bra straps if I was her.

I think this is a decent pose although I agree with the points made previously re the handbag and the bra straps. I'm wondering if you used any flash - I think it would have benefitted from a bit of fill in. I don't believe 'in camera flash' can be adjusted to just fill in the shadows but a layer or two of tissue over the flash can work quite well.
