A simple perch - a fine bird and a good background - what more could you want?

Well actually Sam, a tad more tweaking, but not knowing the original image, it would be unwise of me to say whatSmile

If that makes senseWink

A difficult subject to capture Sam. This little bird is a flittery character and you have done extremely well here. New camera , new lens, still learning the parameters of both - very well done young man

A gorgeous robin in a typical pose with a wonderful oof background. But I feel the robin could be a little sharper (the end of the stick is in perfect focus), though that might just be me and my glasses!! Wink

Karen has observed what I missed Sam.
Not only is the end of the stick sharp, but so are the feathers between the red breast and the wing.
Judging by the position of the bird on the perch, those two areas are probably in the same focal plane.

Question I posed earlier is now answered. The focal point was not on the eye, or at least let's hope not, or there is something amiss somewhere along the line

Hope the above is of some help
