It's a nice moment but I think you have overdone the exposure.
There are other less harsh ways of bleaching out a picture. Unless of course you were going for harsh, in which case you've got it spot on Wink

Thanks Malum. I'm trying, unlike the majority of users on this site, to learn the art of photography without relying on Photoshop to make my photos. I agree maybe 3 stops was a little too many!
Appreciate the comment and time taken to view. Sarah.

It's a good place to learn Smile
Although I find that people here are reluctant to give constructive criticism for the most part. It's a place full of praise which is nice but doesn't help anyone take a better shot next time.

I am a mere beginner so all my advice is
a) to be taken with a pinch of salt
and
b) probably rubbish Wink

I'm also a Photoshop junkie. I like to tell myself that you can't polish a t*rd so if the end result is good then the original must have been OK.

Now I'm rambling.....

PS I forgot to click the first time. it's worthy of a click for the captured moment Smile

Lovely intimate capture. The light is just right. I like the high key approach!

Well done!

Tim

P.S. Did you forget to click?

I really like this Sarah, I'm just starting out too, so it's encouraging to get others opinions.... I would be pleased if this was a shot of my child.

I love the exposure, I think people arent willing to go out on a limb here hence all the "safe" pictures. I love it!
