Moonlit Night

By saviour99
Got my tripod out one night to experiment and took this with my zoom 73-300. It's a bit small here but you can also see a night train at the bottom right.

I think that the moonlight scene is so good on its own, that it does not really need the train at the bottom - but that is just my opinion of course! Smile
The cool colours around the moon seems so beautiful, combined with the silhouettes of the leaves...

Thanks Jacqueline - I actually wanted to put this up for modifications but couldn't see where to mark it? Anyway, can anyone suggest how I can get rid of the blue spot in the middle or can someone actually do that for me??

A very nice silhouette shot and the background colours are lovely.
The blue spot is most likely a tiny particle of dirt or dust on your sensor or lens. The best way to prevent this happening is to check you lens and sensor are free from dust and keeping your lens clean, (you would not have seen this shooting at night) but using a blower and a lens cloth will see that your lens is always free from blurring.

You can always use the clone tool in your software package to remove the blue spot from this picture.

Keep up the good work.
Richie.

Eve, as indicated, it can be removed. I've done this and taken the liberty of lightening it a tiny bit. The only way I could think of you seeing this was to upload it to my own portfolio...so if you want to take a look (and ignore the other rubbish of mine there....) p'raps you can 'save as' and I'll delete it from my scrapbook in a day or two...

Kevin, thanks for that, it looks much better and you already got a vote in your portfolio!!
I'll have to look at the software I got with my camera and see if I can do it too.
Thanks everyone for the votes, comments etc....

Wonderful. Just a shame about the little bit of lens 'flare' but... love it anyway!

(BTW - the train adds to it for me... Wink)
