Hampi.....the city of boulders

Hampi in Karnataka is a collection of stone monuments, an open air museum and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shown here is the boulder landscape with water reflection from the Tungabhadra River with a little row boat and coracles on the left for scale definition. I think this works a treat in black and white ee. Super reflections and the boats are nicely placed in the foreground. Nicely done.

I like the more natural look of the color version. What a shame that such a city was reduced to a pile of rubble......it seems history keeps repeating itself in wars.
