Over a five year period we have not had winds (easterly) as strong as these in Gibraltar, so I thought I'd take advantage of the adverse weather conditions and take a few shots at Europa Point. I had to hand-hold my camera and cover it with plastic as the sea spray was reaching the road above the cliff. No point in setting up the tripod either - too strong a wind to risk it. Hope u like this shot.

I like the atmosphere of the shot with the stormy sky and the crashing waves

Hi Mabelle, nice mono shot, a bit more of a dramatic sky would have helped the shot. Funny how its such a small world and you knowing Jon/June. Give him some stick for me, speak to you soon.

Excellent composition and a good capture of the boiling sea. There's quite enough drama in that sky for me...

I'm happy I wasn't on any of them either Marilyn - especially so because I panic when I fly lol.

Dougie, I usually do give him a lot of stick lol. He is really a lovely guy.

Scabaida, excellent, it's usually in all shots, I have panic to fly too. thats the reason I'll never travel to another country.

Excellent composition and timing Mabelle, plenty of drama in both the sea and sky to my thinking, looks good in mono!
Rgds., and thanks for the look and comment on mine, much appreciated.

What's struck me about your shots is that the thumbnails don't really do them justice.
