Forgotten View

By Sconz
I'm convalescing here after a shoulder operation last week and now that I'm able to use the computer it's the excuse I needed to trawl my archivesSmile
Taken last May,this was a spot along the road from Fort William to Eilean Donan Castle, above Loch Garry I think (hence the title). The view was spectacular and it's nice to see a little sunshine after such a day of rain hereSmile
As always, view LARGE if you've time.

You're quite right, Sean - this is in fact the western end of L. Garry. The shape of that part of the Loch seen from this viewpoint is said to resemble the shape of the north of Scotland in map view. The band of dark conifers in the f/g give a nice base to the shot and balance well with the sunlit middle distance.
(PS. Hope you make a speedy recovery from your shoulder op. R.)
