Chinese Orchid

By Scottelly
This is not really a Chinese Orchid. It's just known as that here in the U.S. in some places. I shot it on a tree, by my condo in Boca (when I lived there). It was moving around like crazy! So I shot it at a higher ISO than I would have preferred. Luckily, I could compose the shot with the screen on my 10 megapixel Sony R1, otherwise this shot would have been impossible. As it was, I had to stand on a step ladder with my camera high above my head to get this shot.

This shot was very much worth getting, ladder and all. The orchid can come in so many varied forms. This one is a delicate beauty. Not an every day thing at all. TG

Gorgeous pastel colours, beautiful detail, all bathed in this delicious light, a really gorgeous image.
