I was living in the Richmond, Virginia area, when my brother called me and gave me the bad news that my sister, who had been in a coma for over a year, was going to die. She had a DNR, and somehow her feeding tube was not working (probably got dislodged - knocked or pulled out somehow). They would not put in a new one, because that was considered surgery, so she was going to starve to death. The next day there was a lot of dew on the grass in the morning. I shot this photo and when I was looking at it I couldn't help but think of my sister. It was then that I realized that she would never see this beautiful sight or even this photo. This is why I gave this photo its name. Kaye died about two weeks later. I was the only one there. I was holding her hand and had fallen asleep. It was about 3:00 in the morning, when I awoke and noticed she had stopped breathing. I miss her so much. This photo is for her.

Thanks for the story attached to this photo, made me look more contemplatively at it.

Sorry for your loss, Phil
