Cuillin Cool...

By Scottishlandscapes
...this huge white cloud sat for ages over the mountans while other clouds moved swiftly along. It seemed to be spinning like some giant childs top in the sky.

All about the relationship between the peak and the clouds - it's a different world up there. Stunning.

A grand shot Dougie and a brave composition. Works beautifully.

The rule of thirds is just a rule, it can be broken. It's not the law after all. Appreciate the comment Andy.

I agree and images like this, with a strip of water at the bottom and a big sky, are a perfect example of when it works really well.

Love the big sky in this one and that cloud sounds amazing. I'd love to have seen it spinning like a top Smile

It seems as if the Cuillins are engulfed in a storm of their own making.

The Cuillin range with a difference, Dougie. By making the sky and those wonderful cloud formations the more prominent subject of the composition, you have created a totally different image to the usual. Very nice and refreshing work which I love.
Regards, Ronnie.
