A powerful and atmospheric composition. Excellent exposure and detail. The white walls are amazing.

Nice shot, the comp is well thought out, and the lighting on the distant mountain is a nice touch

absolutly gorgeous Dougie. One of the best I have seen of Blackrock....I am there in about a weeks time with my new camera and can only hope I get half as good a shot as this Smile

Great picture, particularly the band of light on the centre mountain.
26 Feb 2007 11:25PM
That's some sky there. Great bit of light on the mountain too. I'm beginning to think that, if you put a cross on the ground and every photographer on here stood on it and took exactly the same picture, every one would be different.

This is great Dougie, nearly as good as mine....... ;o)

There's a meet at Rowardennan in just over a weeks time and I'm sure that this place will be revisited then, won't it Angie!

Never ever appologise for putting work of this calibre up here, it's always appreciated, by somw if not all.

How recent is this shot?

I've just noticed that this appears to be very similar to your earlier EC from June. A reworking? If so I think it's good and really improves an already cracking shot.
Nicely done.

Never seen this one before Wink

Glad to be 30, never tire of this shot to be honest, everyone is different.

Col,
It's a rework done at the time and left in the folder 'till now. It was a strange day, the light at the cottage was bounced about from under the clouds and was very soft, then the light hit the Buckle and "click".

Cheers for all your kind comments.

You are so fortunate, never seen this spot without a car beside it.
A timeless scene. so much better for the quality of the capture.

Its a shame it will be your last from this spot - often photographed but not always photographed this well.

Just for a while, not for ever...
