By Scottishlandscapes of the smallest mountains in the Assynt range, but probably one of the best known. It's destinctive shape has graced many a sheet of film or digital capture.

Wonderful and ever so slightly different view of the Stac.

PS How are finding the D200 ??? It may just be me but i have noticed a slightly less punchy and film like feel to your images !!!!!!! again may just be me, or the S3 was set well with the velvia mode Smile))

I love the composition, Dougie, and the sky is a beautiful complement to the scene. My only bugbear is the lack of sunlight on the Stac Pollaidh. I can see detail there, but it looks a bit dark and not in keeping with the rest of the scene.

All the best,

I see you have found this little beach on the edge of Loch Lurgainn. I have captured many a shot from here in the past. I like the way the Stac is dark and mysterious.

tricky light in the background taken well with a beautiful lead across the reeds makes for an excellent shot. The sky is ace Smile

A distinctive shape to this mountain. It looks a bit like a volcano. Another fine image Dougie.
