Reflected Sunrise...

By Scottishlandscapes
...the colour is bouncing off the clouds as the sun rises to my left from the south east at this time of year.
If it looks cold, it was, one of my cameras packed up in the low temperature. First time that's happened.

It does look cold and, judgung by the ripples in the water, there was a bit of a breeze. It's a fine image and good to see something a little different from the perfect reflections you often see in shots like this.
I'm guilty of the reflections myself Fraser, It's a lochan that often sits flat begging to be photographed with reflections. There's a smoother one later in the week.

You have made a real diffeence then with the reflections, a wonderful scene and sunrise to be proud of, know the feeling of batteries running out in the cold..mine too on a visit to London, and no spare!

Beautiful image Dougie - lovely colours in that sunset. We would love to come up to Scotland, just wish it wasn't such a long drive to get there !

It certainly does look cold, Dougie, and the pink tint just appearing in the cloud suggest more on the way ....
.... had to queue up to drive down the hill off our estate this morning; the white van following took to the grass ....

Have you been here before Dougie? You have the place sussed and know exactly when to visit. Good stuff.
I'm sure you could go to some parts of the Wall with your eyes closed Danny.

Lovely light and tones too Dougie, I had my 5D stop working in very cold conditions last February. I warmed the batteries and it was fine again.

Subtle reflected colours make this on special. Easy to forget how cold the gear gets on the tripod while you keep warm stamping feet etc.
