Excellent shot, Dougie: we seem to have come into winter from autumn so suddenly this year. I guess the Moor always looks spectacular, but there is something about the winter colours and weather, etc. that make it very special.

You pick your days well Dougie. 24 hrs either side was just plain rubbish.

Great range of depth & perfect exposure as usual.

Looks like you waited a good 1/2 hr to 1 hr after sunrise to get the grass lit up.

So how cold did you get waiting then???

Graham it was perishing, & the weather report was why I went up to the moor.

Another great shot across Rannoch....I prefer this 'upright' version to your previous shot, for me it's a much stronger image, with more impact.
There's more depth, with that f/g ice more prominant with some lovely shapes & a slightly better 'cold' feeling about it....definitely my kind of shot....luvverly !!!

Great shot, Dougie. The fg ice patterns are a great start to an image that delivers interest front to back. Standing in icy conditions near or in water is a hobby we share!

Another great image Dougie.

A colourful shot with stuff to view from bottom to top...love that golden wispy grass / reed.

I looked at this a couple of times on the weekend and can't make up my mind if it does not appear level...its highly unlikely but that is how it feels to me?

Breathtaking - cracking! Smile
Seems like you have far colder temperatures than we have. We had our coffee on the terrace yesterday, but probably the last opportunity for a long time...

You would steam your glasses up if you tried it here this morning Johanna, I'm just about to leave for the great outdoors, well happed up.
