Works well as a mono Dougie - certainly get the feeling of bleakness when the weather is like this.

I don't think I've ever seen the sun shine here, this is how I remember it, cold and bleak and intimidating. Excellent shot, one of your best.

Bleak moor, gaunt mountain but still magnificent; one of the great sights. The scarce light has picket out the snow on the peak and caught the oblique, near-hidden face to perfection.
Mono landscapes are rare these days, but this one is a belter.
I fully expected this to bomb at this holiday time, many thanks for all the kind comments, I'm well pleased.

A good conversion Dougie and it's strange why mono landscapes do less well than their coloured cousins.
