The Misty Isle monochrome...

By Scottishlandscapes
...the mono version of my best ever image of the Cuillns on Skye. This one is going on the wall very soon.
The rain cloud just drifted across the mountains as the light popped through the cloud cover.

Some great Skye weather & mood here, & the chink of light getting through those clouds adds a lot.

Mono at its best Dougie.Whilst it is a lot easier to produce mono now with digital media it is by no means easy to produce a good one but you have managed.Starting with the subject, the weather conditions and of course your skill at the taking stage and post processing. A one to be proud of Dougie and I do hope it takes pride of place. This is another which would get my award if I knew how to do it. Sorry.

A beauty, Dougie. It is full of the other kind of colour, the kind sometimes called character; it doesn't need the polychromatic kind to make it dramatic.
