...on the banks of Loch Scridain, Island of Mull on the west coast of Scotland. A dull day with sunshine in the clouds but it looked as if someone had thrown a length of Harris Tweed across the boulders.

Weathered n worn they look...after probably many many years off salty water peppering their skins I think we might get to look summat like

Nice shot Dougie - have a good weekend.

PS Meant to say I have 4 nights booked on Loch Long, (the Argyll one) with the wife beginning of May. No walking or driving as its a bus trip.

Whilst the texture and colours are there already they still have to be brought out to show them to advantage. You have done this admirably Dougie. I even like the composition........

Even with the Harris tweed weather lol the sky still has that doug feel about it and i like that as you know.
However for me doug its the only one out of all the comments that i have made on all the lovely shots you have taken where it does not thrill me.
I think for me there is too much going on with the foreground rocks to enjoy the scene as i do with your other images too many cooks spoil the broth re rocks and i find im looking here there and everywhere in the scene rather too quickly to enjoy it,when i just like to relax and view images i just cannot with this one

But out of all the images of yours i have commented on to come across one that don't float my boat i'd say is bloody good going
Thats a compliment too doug Wink

I've never been to Mull Dougie but I almost feel as if this shot has just taken me there. I can see where Dave i(Tanberg) is coming from but, for me, that rich detail in the foreground pulls you into the frame.

It encourages that "being there" sensation which your images so typically evoke, Dougie. You walk up to those irresistible rocks and are presented with that wide and moody landscape. Beautiful.
