Across Loch Rog...

By Scottishlandscapes
... yesterday Kin posted his shot with me in it, this is the view from my camera, I moved further down the beach to get the reflection of the sun on the water as it washed across the sand.

The right moment captured here Dougie with those lovely curves in the small waves rippling up the shore, the sun sheen on the water and that wee band of colour on the horizon.

Good morning Dougie,

Superb clear shot with lovely light. Especially like the patern the wee waves foam edges make on the sand. Nice reflection of the light, too.

Finally we have the promise of a beautiful day, after four days of heavy rain.
All the best my friend,

It's a credit to you that you managed to come away from Lewis with so many good shots when the weather was not great.

I think you managed to squeeze the last drop of light from this one. Smile

Not spectacular with the light or the scene, but it's got bags of mood. I like the choice of the foreground sand patterns too, and the timing of the wave so that it leads the eye to the middle distance. Nice.

Cheers,

When i first looked at this i thought it was a bit dark for you Dougie, but that light on the horizon and on the water is a fine catch, great work.

Wonderful light in this one. It has quite an isolated, eerie feel to it. I'll bet it's lovely just being there!
