Ardvreck Castle...

By Scottishlandscapes
...another from this spot I thought this one deserved an airing as well. I think the person who placed the boulders in the water was a photographer or an artist, such beautiful precision.

Like stepping stones they lead to the castle Doug. Well composed, a difficult subject just one tower. A feel for the location. Ron.
Kin did it and ran away, Honest.

Another lovely piece of work and those rocks really do add that finishing touch to the scene.

The sweeping curve of the shore, those stones leading in towards the castle, the little spit of land projecting into the water further round, the castle itself, and of course the colour - all play second fiddle to the superb rippled reflection which for me is the glory of this image.

Lovely composition Dougie, like those curves and the stonework in the old tower. The stones in the water seen to have positioned by size as well, maybe to create the illusion of perspective or are they just natural Smile

You mean you didn't place those rocks yourself! Excellent composition makes the image a real pleasure to view

Yes, those must have been placed. I like that light. LOL - And what is that blue stuff in the sky? I might have to go there to see what it is like!

Patrick
Saw some today down the coast, Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway but not a lot. The path has just been rebuilt and I'm sure somebody had some fun, see how many mugs see them?

Can't add anything to what's been said but I will agree with stunning composition.
