...this is a different view of the ridge, I took this as we neared Inverpoly. The fence up the centre gives some scale of the mountain ridge.
This is a Corbett, not a Munro, but a beautiful mountain especially with a dusting.
Wow, a stunning image
Hi Doug - superb as always - Jude.
Stand alone ridge and landscape Doug. Ron.
Nicely picked out of a much wider view. Very calming colour combination.
Sooo jealous, Dougie, I just want to be there RIGHT NOW!!!
Terrific one Dougie. Before reading what you said I already had the map on my knees and tried to find out where it was taken from. I could not believe my eyes - so I read your description. Well, I was right again... Tracking your journey makes me jealous. No, that's not correct, I grudge you the great time you had, I just would have liked to share it.
My thoughts are with you,
Very simple Dougie but very dramatic and effective. Love the starkness.
I hope my jumping back and forth hasn't been too confusing for your map reading Johanna.
Another great shot Dougie.
Lovely shot the dusting of snow really makes it.
For the ignorant, what is the diference between a Corbett, and a Munro?
Height I would Guess?
An impressive sight captured with great light
What an impressive image Doug, fantastic contrasts
Well Sweep. my understanding is ... Munro is over 3,00 ft...Corbett 2,500 feet and a Graham is over 2,000 feet, Hope that's helpful.
Just a wee Hill Dougie.Absolutely trmendous but magnificant when viewed large.
Have a good weekend
Awesome picture as are all these wonderful shots of yours
I like the use of the deep shadows as lead in lines Dougie and that fence is tiny.
I imagine the Mountains of the Moon to be like this but less beautiful. Superb.
It's always possible Bill, alas we may never know.
Wouldn't mind taking a walk up there one day Dougie if I ever get the time and inclination, a fine composition and well structured
Grand mountain image Dougie
very minimalistic and it works so well - think this is wonderful
Wonderful landscape Doug.
A beautiful mountain indeed, Dougie. What really makes this one special is the lovely contrasting colours and, as you said, the dusting of snow. A fine composition completes this fine image.
Yes a beautiful mountain, especially with the snow.
