Whereas in the last shot the neutrals and browns were predominant, the blues are now starting to balance up the colour scheme, the sky tones reflecting in the water: and as the mist lifts, there is more definition in the Black Mount. Interesting to see how the same scene changes as the light and atmospheric conditions alter.

Light and its changes - what it's all about.
The blues are cold, thin, delicate and beautiful. But b&w could be interesting here too...

Ronnie has summed things up perfectly. I am most struck by the warm/cool contrast. The islet and its reflection form a stunning torpedo shape - adding a dynamic to the image I suppose!

lovely reflections and light I know very little of Scotland but from what I see its a place to visit and capture some great images, I have been to the Outer Hebrides and had one other visit by coach on a tour round Dundee and that sort of area - somewhere that is renowned for fish as well and a mountain ride high up into the hills but goodness I cant remember the name of the place just the scenery, which was spectacularSmile

'Tis strange, Dougie, but the reflected mountains are sharper than the real thing above.
The eye following the distant horizon is treated to a real roller coaster ride as it rises and falls the full width of the image.

Not sharper Malc, slightly darker because he reflection is darker and that makes it look sharper, plus the hills are in mist and the reflection is cleanup up bt being a reflection. Hope that makes sense, it sounds like rubbish to me now.

The subtle tones and wonderful reflections gives this beautiful image a painterly feel Dougie, and nice to see a sprinkling of snow on the Black Mount, another beautiful photograph to add to your portfolio. Very well done my friend, Bill.
