A Winter Burn...

By Scottishlandscapes
...taken yesterday on the snow clad Rannoch Moor, one of my favourite places when needing a longish drive to blow the winter blues away. The tiny burn was full of snow melt and much livelier than usual.

***Trying out the Sony Alpha 7 with the latest 24-70mmm lens.
No aperture ring, no focusing scale.

Superb composition, top pov.
This must be Britain's most beautiful mountain, though Tryfan can't be far behind.

Whilst image two is a wonderful stock shot, image one is simply breathtaking. There is both clarity and interest in depth thanks to your chosen photographic technique Dougie.

Nice composition on V1 Dougie.
Good, in both images, to see fast flowing water that looks like fast flowing water instead of some daft wispy ectoplasm!

V1 for me - amazing how you have snow on the mountains and not in the foreground but I guess that's Scotland for you, such a pretty place - very photogenic

The first image is outstanding, Dougie. A flawless composition making the most of the two very complementary landscapes.
