Just love this shot Dougie. That river leading to the road, then to the waterfall right up to that mountain with that lovely cloud hanging over the top. Just wish I could pronounce those names WinkGrin. Moira

This is a great composition Dougie - I like the portrait format here - it adds to the majesty of that wonderful place - with that typical cottage nestling against the hillside. More beautiful spring flowers in the foreground to add softness to the starkness of the hills.

Now this is really good, Dougie (but I guess you already knew that!).
Perfect composition. The interesting fg, the tiny cottage that gives such a good scale to the vastness of the mountains behind, and depth in spades and then some.

Well worth an award I reckon.

Glorious early summer shot Dougie. Once again you have managed to capture a slice of the mood of the place.

Many Thanks to Malc & John for their UA's didn't expect them at all. I had to hang about a bit here as the sun dappled different parts of the scene with light, the mountain popped out and this one was in the bag. The little live view image in the viewfinder makes shooting with a grad filter a lot easier with this style camera.

Thanks again to you all for the support and kind comments.

I think Malc. has summarised things so well, Dougie.....I go along with all he's said.
You had a bit a climb up the hillside to get this viewpoint surely.

Leaning on the side of the car, had I been lazy I could have taken it from the passenger window. WinkTongueSmile

At the moment I wish I could hide here from the world outside. I'm so exhausted and feeling empty.
