So does that mean your not going to explain how it was done LOL. Whatever you have done it works, like the colours and reflections Dougie.

Powerful as manipulated picture always are. It is a good composition with strong colours

There was a lot od selective colour saturation and contrast, but I truly couldn't do this again for love nor money.

I think the end result is fantastic, I love the tones and love the way your eyes are drawn into the photo.

I love this Dougie but, please don't lose your normal direction, you have a style which is hard to beat. Great to play and do something different but I hope you dont move too far from your own style.

Having said that -This is great, perhaps this is where you belongSmileSmile

So, just a simple little shot...
Love the two-tone effect, there really are only two colours involved in this. With the strongly defined reflections it has something of the look of a batik print. Very interesting...

OOOoooh this is a hard one. I have just scrapped my original lengthy comment on re-reading Phil_R's words for the umpteenth time:

Quote:please don't lose your normal direction, you have a style which is hard to beat. Great to play and do something different but I hope you dont move too far from your own style

I like this immensely, in actual fact, for the composition, the reflections and the sombre mood of gathering storm - though the acronym HDR tends to raise my blood pressure by several degrees, a bit like piped music in supermarkets (and my doctor's surgery). Perhaps this one is a happy accident Smile

Pleased to be no 30 for this dark and moody Dougiesque. i do like this one Bill and it's fun to push buttons now and again. It's repeating the bloody thing that's the problem.

Great image. I'm never too sure what I think about HDR, but this works really well. It looks expensive - if that makes any sense!

My hat off to you on this one Dougie - for a gentlemen who really knows how to take a "proper" photograph, allowing himself to pull out all the stops and come up with this masterpiece deserves full credit!!!

You have always had a very natural style which I do admire, but what this image shows is that in the right hands hdr/photshop/manipulation doesn't have to look overcooked or detract from a superb composition with excellent subject matter, composition and light - it just enhances it!

I rate all of your work, as you know, but for me this has got to be up there with the best of it!

Maybe worth dipping a toe into again every once in a while? Smile

Best regards
Many Thanks Paul, I have to say that I was thinking of you when I was doing this and trying to think what you would have done, so you had a very big hand in the end result. One of these days I might just manage something near to your PS magic.
Cheers and thanks again.

Aye Dougie looking at the snow on the hilltops it looks a similar time to when we were all up there.

One of these days I'll get it right, I've tried often enough but the weather or the light has always let me down. I might even get one as good as yours Jeanie, maybe. :Grin
