You don't often post mono landscapes for our enjoyment but they are invariably top-drawer images where the black and white points the excellence of the composition without distraction.
Here the falling line of the tree tops echoes the line of the ridge as well as framing the house while the bare trees revel in their structure, enhanced by the light glinting off their bark.
Sheer delight.

It is nearly 3D quality as Keith says. The house is positioned so well behind those beautiful trees and I do like the conversion to mono.
I agree about the strong light last week - some days it was really bright, but what a wonderful ten days after all the grey skies we've had in the south. I even got up at dawn on a couple of days.
