...another from a few weeks back when the Lochs were flattened by the high pressure over Scotland. The Kirk isn't as old as I thought, opened by the then Moderator of the Church of Scotland in October 1849.
That church must have some history Doug.Lovely light and colour.
Lovely stillness in the water. Great shot.
No sky to be seen but a great shot without it,
Awesome reflections Dougie!
Beautiful light and colour
Awesome work again Dougie, beautiful scene
You have a great eye for beauty Doug, well done.
Like the details and lighting in this - well captured.
Well composed winter scene from Loch Achray Dougie.
Super peaty tones in those reflections. Plus that incredible tree...
Calm quiteness Doug. Ron.
Wonderful image...Super reflaction and tones.
Fabulous composition, wonderful colours in the treetops.
I like this primaarily for the tones but the reflection is an added bonus. Nice one Doug.
Good image made possible by your choice of time of the day and planning.
What a super comp Dougie..the reflection on the loch is superb..
An intriguing composition, like how it works.
Fabulously tranquil scene Dougie, beautifully captured as always!!!
Beautifully captured Dougie, that tree is tree-mendous lol!
Catching up slowly!
A different take with a tree and it really works
Very nice Dougie. Have tried the church up colse but never got anything worthwhile on the day.
good dark pastel hues in the layers of the trees and the kirk makes for an interesting focal point Dougie. I think the large tree in the foreground adds greatly to the composition too.
I thought the tree was a reflection in the water...but it's not! It puzzled me a bit but it's quite an amazing pic ...lots of depth and wonderful colours.
Awesome light in just the right places Dougie. 1849 was a big year for San Francisco. It was the big gold rush. In 2years, it went from a few shacks to 100,000 people, with only 3,000 women (2,700 of whom were prostitutes but anyway...)
I'm gone for a short while and you've put up a bunch of good new ones. I'll have to take a look after work!
The limited tones and colours make this a really striking image
Stunning reflection Doug, great details
Superb reflections, and colour tones.
very much like this one Doug, just trying to catch up with photos on here, this ones a beut...
I adjusted the levels on my Spring Oaks shot just a bit like you mentioned to darken it a bit and add a little more contrast. It does add a bit more punch to it and a little more magic. Thanks!
Beautifully composed image Dougie, like the fg tree, it looks as old as the church...
