Buachaille Boulder...

By Scottishlandscapes took me ages to roll this boulder from the front of Black Rock Cottage but I think it was worth the effort.

Really outstanding landscape image with excellent composition and balance, detail wonderfully sharp with great technique and the Zeiss lens working perfectly, gets my UA.
I can feel the cold and the crisp air.

As long as you didn't put your back out Dougie (and you know I speak as one who carries a rucksack of these around (according to whiterose1)! Grin I prefer this comp to the one masked by trees, here the elements frame the peak very effectively and yet again it's lovely to see a uniquie view. The snow really models the land so well.

It works really well for me, lovely and crisp and clean. I think its a really good idea to move the landscape to suit the shot, last year I pushed the London Eye 20 feet to the left to improve the composition. Grin

Another excellent composition Dougie - so all your hard work has paid off! Grin again, the limited colour palette really appeals to me.

Sit yourself down a while, Dougie, and reflect on the perfect arrangement of forms you've achieved here.
Beautifully harmonious image, but I hope you put that rock back where you found it, afterwards.

Stunning, Dougie. Thinking 'out of the box' has worked again. I'm not certain whether I prefer this or yesterday's: both, I think!

I love the viewpoint you have chosen Dougie, It is great to see a different viewpoint for this Iconic Mountain. And also to see some snow on the hill. I hope to be back up here in the next few weeks. Keep warm and safe my friend. Bill.

Really like the curve of the birch around the Buachaille, Dougie and the grasses on the left are a nice balancing element.

Nice to see proof that rumours of razor wire and machine gun nests preventing toggers from setting up anywhere else apart from in front of that small waterfall are completely unfounded WinkWink.

So beautiful and amazing

The lovely colour palette and the graceful curve of the tree against the almost isosceles triangle of the hill keep drawing me back.
Best thing I've seen today, Dougie. Have another Award.
