Floating Mountain...

By Scottishlandscapes
...I'm amazed that this has worked. The light was at least 8 stops different between the sky and water.

2 shots blended, then that was blended with another one for the sky. Similar to the last image posted.

Don't you just love digital photography?

Have a great weekend.

Sounds like a lot of work, but it's given you an excellent result!!

Wonderful image Dougie. I loved your last upload but this is even better. The processing's spot on too I'd never have guessed it was a blended image, the amount of contrast is spot on...

Shortlisted Smile

Cheers all, and thanks Den, lots of work and sometimes over and over again to get it just right.

Surely that's cheating Wink

But what a splendid result you have achieved Dougie.

not cheating - processing, and this is spectacular.....

You ever work in a darkroom Mike?

Cheating sometimes sounds like "I can't do it", so it's not fair.

Spectacular is the word.
I can undo my mistakes (well, if I notice them) in the computer. In the darkroom it was always too late!

Another majestic beauty, Dougie - the play of light, shadow and cloud is almost orchestral in its grandeur.

Both of them are amazing spectacles Dougie and a mountain image to die for, this one just pipping the other for me.

I have yet to climb Starav and photograph it actually so now I have the inspiration to do so.

I don't think I'll go just yet John.
Thanks for your user award Fran, you're a wee gem.
