Glencoe on a rainy day

By Scottishlandscapes
One of the many days when Glencoe in Scotland looks very dark and brooding.

Absolutely super, the mood of the place is captured marvelously. Really suits the monochromatic treatment.

Good morning Dougie, and a happy new year, making a calculated guess I reckon this is the way the glen will look this morning, dramatic, atmospheric or simply with a hangover...mist that is, lol...the searchlights last night were a waste of time at the bridges not something the camera could pick out from the north side, there were a few photographers present but we all departed dissapointed. Hope you have a good day and all the best for 2005.

This place is very frustrating...not your gallery but Ephotozine...BUT, i spose its so big in numbers of people and moves along so fast that it depends greatly on what time of the day you upload your photo.

Can I just say this is by far your best photo, beutifull photo that really does show what the Scottish weather is like 70% of the year, those two posts really make it, not to mention the whole area to the on the upper right, and the very dark black hill to the left just sucks you into atmosphere of it all. I think this and Glencoe wet and windy should have the readers awards and the editors award.

I will now move it up to 8.

That's very kind Mike, I have to say that I was disappointed at the reaction to both these shots as I was really happy with them. There is a route for shots that don't get much recognition, you can put them up again at a different time. The Editor can of course award at his discretion. I have posted on another site and had similarly few enthusiastic comments and then nothing.
You pays your money and takes your chance.
All the very best and thanks again
