...rolling up the jetty at the little hamlet of Stein in the very north of Skye. It looks beautiful but the sunshine fools the senses, my eyes were watering with the biting cold wind.

***I'll be trying to catch up over the next few days, I promise.

My immediate reaction was " . . . Under the sea to Skye, and I wasn't far off.
We have experienced some bitingly cruel winds during the few moments of visually fine weather that we have enjoyed in the past month.

Inviting us to paddle but I think I would resist...
I like your title, there certainly is a jellified look to the water.
Good to see you around.

A fabulous image where the jetty leads you so well into the frame!

The water looks crystal clear as it laps over the jetty which provides a perfect lead in.

Excellent lead in from the semi-submerged jetty radiating from both lower corners, Dougie: knowing you, this was thoughtfully planned.

Very deceptive then Dougie, as
this looks so warm and inviting
and a great lead into the shot

I like the way that the waves are lapping over the Jetty Dougie. Excellent image.

I love the way the water is creating patterns on the jetty Dougie!

Gives the impression of a causeway only passable at low tide, Dougie. Biting wind can be somewhat countered by a warming drop or two in the cofee.Wink

Dougie, I do it myself and drag out the exposure at time providing the feel of motion, but you image requires none of this as the feel of the jetty makes your eye drift out to the boat, a refreshing image.

Oh yes, it was a very, very cold wind at times - but I loved to feel the wind in my face.
Superb layers of water on this jetty.
