Loch Chon snow...

By Scottishlandscapes
...just a couple of days later from the sunny image, snow has fallen on higher ground and the whole scene changes with the seasons.

I left the hint of colour deliberately.

Winter stillness exemplified.
That's plenty enough snow for me!

Bill

P.S.: It was merely a reflection, but very atmospheric!

How much the image needs that misty islet of trees to provide b/g and contrasting tone, Dougie: so a very well considered viewpoint as I know you always seek.
And how much the winter cold seeps from the monitor screen.
So I am now going back to my own posting today to warm myself up againWinkWinkWink.

Give it a couple of years and t will be in the Loch Dougie. The wind has had it's effect already and it's on it's way but not before the master got this cracking image. Just enough colour left to make it interesting.

Very nicely done and it works really well as in square format.

Looks absolutely beautiful with the colour, might look a bit cheerless without it.

Lovely winter scene. Beautifully captured and processed Dougie.
Alan exactly my reasoning for not making it b&w.

You found a nice tree here Dougie. The misty background and high contrast foreground works well.

Outstanding contrast, Dougie, between the dark, skeletal reach of the tree and the distant hint of a misty isle. It's beautiful.

I missed this as I have had a busy week - love those limited colours Dougie. A super wintry scene. Gets my award even though it's late!

Cheers Ann glad you're back not just for the award.
I was thrilled when I returned to this tree after a few days and found the snow and mist.

Dougie, Thanks Again for Your Award.
