Ohhhhhhhhhhh, wow! Did you ever get in touch with some calendar making editors, Dougie? I always have an Scottish calendar at home, but I think I have never seen one with pics of this quality. I am going to recommend you to every one in Germany that crosses my path. This is the least I can do. But I am afraid I do not know many!

Its a beauty Dougie I like the colours to the shot, the light was a blessing on the day captured, good height in the scene and reflections. Well done on the awards Smile
Cheers Kin, keep forgetting about early Friday, I was calibrating the monitor, it's been bleeping for 2 days.
Big surprise to me all this, nice of course, and we all like a slap on the back now and again.
What's the WE got in store for you?

way hey - a well deserved EC old boy!

those skies up there really add to the shot, but it's the super refelction of the trees, the light on teh whisps of grass poking theough the water and the depth of the shot that does it for me

Hi Doug

When did you actually shoot this frame? I ask as the clouds look almost identical to when I was their earlier this month shooting nearby Ben Dorain...

Super shot by the way...

Best Regards

Geoff
Early 2006, I can find the original date if you like, certainly not this month. Sorry, ut they do appear every now and again.

This is such a fantastic spot. Nice to see you got down and dirty and didn't just clone out the cables. From this position there is a wonderful tree, just the other side of the road, which a local photographer pointed out to us while we were viewing this scene. At the time it was sitting above a wisp of mist or low cloud . Maybe that photographer was you!!
I was standing a few yards in front of the 2 trees one of which has been damaged by high winds? The telephone cables are yet another stupid placing by the utility companies of this country.

You do have to go down into the area behind the deer fence, cross the 3 small streams and watch you don't break an ankle on the tussock grass.

This was taken in February 2006, hope that all helps Tony.

All the very best
Dougie
