Loch Venachar...

By Scottishlandscapes
...after Loch Ard I drove around the Brig O' Turk road and found that the water was flat at Loch Venachar as well, some mist was rising from the trees as the sunlight hit them. My lucky day it seems.

Very fine, Dougie, the light strong and bright on the garden and the long sliver of land to the left, becoming ever more subdued the further we look from the water's edge. I love the subdued tones myself and the myriad subtle gradations of tone visible here.

Dougie, you are the Reflection-Meister, and this is well up to your established high standard.
Lovely subtlety from the light, and I concur fully with Bill.

Magical reflections Dougie. I just did a photo book on reflections; this one would have fitted in perfectly Smile

The full beauty of late autumn, Dougie. So many shaded, hues and nuances of colours. All doubled up thanks to that perfectly still water. Added to that the eye that saw and composed and we have a top image.

Love it and feel it would work just as well upside down as the reflections are so good

Gorgeous banded comp with the raking light showing that off extremely well. Great plan to exclude any sky as you really focus our attention on the play of light and the hint of autumn colour on the deciduous trees.
