Hello Dougie, another fine shot coming from the spiritual home of landscape photographers...the tree featurs well as does Blackmount, in fact the monotone shot gives the light a late winter early evening feel. Nice shot.
Many many thanks to you all for such kind comments.
I always loved black and white even way back in the days when there was no choice. There just seems to be a wee bit extra drama to mono that colour lacks.
All the best to you all
And thanks again, Dougie

B&w seemed a strange choice when I first opened this but it works really well with the scene, georgous shot, very dramatic

Lovely pic, well suited to b&w - the sort of pic back in darkroom days that would give you an excited buzz as it appears in the developer tray! Well done.

Thanks Louise, but what is this sunshine thing, I have fague memories of that.
Let's hope we see it soon

Excellent - a common tree - but an uncommon photograph - seen this view so many times but this is a stand out. Excellent, Click, Martin
Ssssh Martin, you must never call this tree common, often photographed, never common. The tree fairies will get you if you come up here.
Thanks for the nice comment I loved the expierience when I saw this and the buzz when it looked the same in the computer darkroom. I do miss the slippy soles on my shoes from the fixer in the old wet darkrooms, I used to slide all over the place as a lad in Edinburgh when I came out the darkroom and it had been raining. That was the only "chemicals" you used in my time.
All the best
