My Other Place..

By Scottishlandscapes
...on Rannoch Moor, Scotland. It's been said of late that this scene is photographed far too many times. Maybe but this is one of the great experiences of Scotland and shouldn't be passed by because others have set their tripod up here before them.

4x vertical images stitched PTgui.

Glad to be the first to comment, the guardian stands there saying go on then, so you must photograph it.

I like the true simple colours and the way you have set up the shot good piece of work

Lovely shot of a beautiful looking place, love the mist covering the tops of the mountain , I don't think that place could be photographed to many times looking at this because its crying out for people to capture it, really lovely looking place, I would prefer to be there in summer though lol

Been there twice now and it's different both times, just waiting for a bit of snow to go back again.
Like the composition here Dougie with the low cloud just covering the peak.

Everytime I visit here Dougie, the light and conditions are different ... admittedly normally different levels of grey Wink

I'm sure plenty of other places have been so-called 'over-shot', but that shouldn't mean that people should avoid them. They're shot so often for one reason ... and you've highlighted this perfectly above.

Nice one,
Paul

Lovely image of this popular location and the low cloud clinging to the top of the mountain really adds something to this one.

I doubt the scene ever remains the same for more than a fleeting moment. You have composed this superbly.

Refreshing! Nice to see you did not go for the usual blur on the water. This gets my vote! Well done.
