Needles & Bubbles...

By Scottishlandscapes
...a section of a Sigma DP2 Merrill file cropped to just show a little of what was floating in the Loch water. This simple little camera produces amazing surprises when you use it.

Lovely colour, quite autumnal.

Sorry to hear of your unfortunate experience with those specially bred Attack-Snowdrops!!
I've heard that some earthworms have taken to going around on stilts in order to avoid them! WinkWink

I just wear gloves, a lot easier than balancing acts. Wink

Definitely bubbling. The term hell-broth came to my mind... After all, it's from the Scottish Play...

Quote:Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

The Sigma sensor is famous, I believe. Certainly the detail is profound.
And I appreciate the arc of floating leaves which support a suggestion of a face in the water . . .
That's the three eyed monster of Faskally Bill.
Not many people can see it.

Good to see the smaller pic from you for a change Dougie.
They say a change is as good as a rest,but that is nonsense in my book.
When my wife told me she wanted some decorating done for a change,
I found the whole experience most UN-restful indeed !!

I do not know this camera, Dougie, so must suss it out: glad you are pleased with it, and this shot shows that a small local feature within the bigger picture can be just as pleasing as the latter.

I see a face with a golden beard - but then it is Friday night and Wales have just trounced France so maybe I'm losing my grip on reality Grin
