Old Dornie 1...

By Scottishlandscapes
...somebody asked how my shot yesterday looked in colour I think this explains why I sent it in monochrome.

I'll be away till around dinner time.

Mono is so perfect for this image - good to make the comparison tho' Dougie, and what a fine landscape it is.

The longer shot instantly recognisable and so very beautiful Dougie...

Can see why you chose mono, but I actually like that blotch of blue Grin. Moira

Understandable Dougie, mono has that grit and adds to an image.

A bit like that Scotland game last night Dougie.
A game of two halves here !!
Not the best colourful performance here right enough,
but despite the score last night, neither was that game !!

What a surprise to see the blue. Shows there's hope for the better.

I see what you mean Dougie. Still a nice scene though with beautiful clouds but I do prefer the cropped mono version.

Hmmm...the blue doesn't belong here, Dougie.
Good call to make the b&w the priority version....still a great place to be, though.

The blue looks 'wrong', not the (natural) monotones. There's a lesson there...

Very nice image Dougie but I think you're right the mono version and letterbox crop worked best,
