Aside from the superb textural and tonal qualities displayed here I am fascinated to read the legend BEAN on the bollard.
Bean ironfounders started in 1822 in the English West Midlands, made shells for Lloyd George and motor cars and trucks during the 1920s and (as Hadfield Bean) cars again in the 1930s. They ended up as part of British Leyland. I find it hard to imagine anyone in Glasgow ordering bollards from them!
Fascinating stuff, Dougie.

This strikes me as a bit belt-and-braces. Someone doesn't necessarily trust the chains on their own...
