Sail Gharbh...

...part of the mighty Quinag ridge, taken from near Unapool. I always think that I can see a huge Gorilla in this view of the mountain, see what you think.

Now that you mention it, I can see the hunched shoulders too. There is a general sense of assurance and silent power in the shape. Not a peak to be argued with.

He's sat there on his throne, and doesn't look in the best of moods.

do Gorillas ever smile?

I would be less than pleased to be photographed while sitting on the throne 😀.

A very imposing lump of rock. Just found it on the map, the highest top of Quinag. Yes Dougie, it is a bit gorilla like.

Yep, I see him too. Bad-mannered and grumpy...

I would probably not have seen the gorilla like appearance myself but now that you mentioned it I have to agree.......it's there.
But I always love closer examinations of mountains, looking for geological aspects, etc.
Whatever else, that peak does sit there in brooding form, as if saying step upon me if you dare.

And many thanks for your insightful comments on my fungus image of today.

Certainly get the Gorilla shape. Fun when you look and see.
