...a trip to my favourite County for Poppies, Fife, farming land and close to the sea, seems to work for poppies in Scotland.
Poppies appear later up here as the temp is lower than England.
**met a fellow EPZ photographer at this scene Gilbo a real pleasure to meet another friend through photography.
is this uncanny or what I've just uploaded my first one today !!!! Fantastic poppies you have captured so well !!!!! Gill
Great shot! EPZ Party going on here? lol
I like your choice of a low viewpoint - it gives an emphasis on the flowers.
V1 is the one that is most about the poppies, if that makes sense. The low pov has them rising up towards the sky.
Superb, Dougie. Great crop of poppies around Hexham and Corbridge too, yesterday, but alas! exam invigilation called . . . .
How silly of me to forget the important task you both fulfill every year. Another feather in your boa Bill, well done to you both.
great composition of the poppies and taking in the background from low level excellent, ronnie
V2 for me Dougie ! featured photo i just noiced to my right as well
Excellent low POV and a simply stunning image.
A beautiful scene from the Kingdom, Dougie, and with very sensitive and appropriate cropping to gain V 1: and so nice to see Gillian in V 3......she showed your good self in a set of her's yesterday.
Many thanks to you Ronnie I always treasure awards from fellow photographers. It was a grand day in Fife and made extra special by meeting Gilbo. One of these days maybe I'll bump into you.
A good set of images Dougie, version one is my preference, alway good to me fellow epz people too.
Just beautiful Dougie, and such a change from your wilderness Scotland photos, but equally as well done
V1 is a truly beautiful image, Dougie. Outstanding shots - all three I love meeting fellow photographers. There is a fraternity and shared passion which immediately breaks down barriers - something I've only ever found its like in the mountains and hills.
I like the "letterbox" crop, makes for an interesting composition. Great colour!
I hope that's not Gilbo trampling through the Barley in the name of photography(V3). You have captured a wonderful rural scene Dougie and you can have my Saturday vote.
One of the best poppy compositions to date.
V1 for me Dougie - such a gorgeous scene, beautifully taken and presented!
Beautiful captures Dougie. Love the vibrant colour swaying in the breeze. V1 is my favorite but nice to see another epz'r............Sandy
It was trampled before either of us arrived Malc.
Wonderful set of images Dougie - and what a wonderful day you had too !
WOW what a great shot, simply love poppies but you know that by now
Like the 3D effect Dougie. Wonderful
v1 for me Dougie. I love poppies, so difficult to choose between the versions, but it has to be the letter box.
Not sure what I am more jealous of...you finding a poppy field or bumping into a lovely lady like that on your outings....tsk, cracking images btw
came back for a second viewing and have to admit I overlooked V2 and 3 as lovely as ever - I would love to find me another field of poppies
Great images! I never tire of poppy images, especially with a glorious blue sky as you've got here. I never seem to see any poppy fields in Devon, just the odd scattering by the roadside or at the edge of fields .
Three lovely scene, Dougie! I have to say that I prefer the 1st version! Stunning colours and excellent composition! A pleasure to view!
Have a great Sunday!
I've seen a lot of poppy images but these are special images Dougie and wish I was there too, not only these poppies look lovely together with wheat but there is a sea in the distant too. Nice to see a happy face in v3.
have a good weekend
Just beautiful! There's something about wild poppies that always makes me smile so thanks for that
Beautiful light Dougie and nice saturated reds.
V2 does it for me....the whole summer scene!
Nae mare tae say!
