Smoky sunset...

...It's been crystal clear most days here until the Muir Burning of the heather started and most of the time now you can't see your hand behind your back.

***I've lifted the contrast to get rid of the haze from the smoke it just looked terrible.

I have heard of the burning heather, not a good situation.
No sign in this image of the depredations: all looks peaceful and even warm. A composition of warming tranquillity.

Lovely image, Dougie. I was there on Thursday evening last week and only got about four images before the Cuillin was obscured by the smoke - doh!

I hope the burning season went well, Dougie, with no catastrophic out-of-control burns.
No sign of the smoke and haze in this idyllic scene, at least.

It went on for days Malc and the Cuillin all but vanished for a couple of days. Must have spoiled a lot of holiday trips on the boats across the loch.
