The Blue Lochan...

By Scottishlandscapes
...the sun limbo dancing under the low clouds to illuminate the reeds on Lochan na h'Achlaise, Rannoch Moor. Clear blue sky doesn't last long up here, the clouds roll in and the temperature falls, as winter's grip tightens.

Looks bloomin' cold Dougie - hope you had your thermals on!
Nicely composed this one, your eye wanders perfectly from the rock in the foreground to the wee rock in the loch, out to the tree and then to the hills in the distance. I like it.

A beautiful image Dougie and living up there you are so lucky to be able to capture images like this . Wonderful light and the clouds rolling in make it superb....Phil

I was toasty in my thermals even my feet were warm until I stopped looking through the camera and suddenly the cold seeped in.

you will, where there''s a will there's a way.

Just beautiful, Dougie. Your landscape compositions are always so good and well organised from the POV perspective to give such strong f.g detail and framing.

Lovely composition, with plenty to interest the eye....but with that moody sky it sure looks mighty cold, more so than your previous shots...winter-draws on as they say?
Beautiful capture.....can keep looking at it for hours.
