The Gateway to paradise...

By Scottishlandscapes first day on Harris this trip it was dull as had been predicted but the sky was breaking a little and there was hope of greater things to come. The old gate was a perfect foil for the first image of the Harris hills I thought, my friend in Brisbane Australia was after the gate as soon as he saw it.

***It's good to be back on EPZ I'll be playing CatchUp for the next few days so bear with me I'm on the case, the laundry can wait.***

Step over that cliff and you'd get there by the quick route... This is inviting and intimidating in equal measures, I love that little row of pebbles.
Welcome back from your travels!

Dougie, great gate, but wonder what the stones are to keep out........and what better a view could you find from walking through that gate. Very nice.

Normally I'd like to see a gate open but here it matters less as it is set low in the farme and for me does not act as a barrier to tye view beyond: and what a superb view it is, covering such a wonderful expanse. Nice to see you back after your most recent foray into the Western Isles.

You are back! Thank you for the postcard, as always much appreciated and gone into my collection of Scottish views.
This is a very nice image of a great landscape. Need to go to the isles someday.
