Good morning Ronnie, whata gorgeous pair of images, fabulous colours and detail, for me it has to be v1, though both are quite beautiful.

Thank you Hugh, Don, Peter, Andy, Ed, Rob and Neil for your early morning comments. I myself prefer V a bit more oooomph to it, but I thought I'd just add V 2 to see what you all thought.

Good exposure Ronnie with the ''pristine'' white !!
Nice soft shadows too.Think I prefer V2 for the limited pallete of colour.Good contrast with only the black and white !!

Good morning, Doc.
The b/g was darkish but had bits of dead white flowers here and there and I felt this bloom stood better with these distractions edited out.

Both are beautiful. Great capture of whites! My favourite is, like your own, V1. Something extra special about single Peonies and their inner beauty!

I like the way you casually say 'the bg's were a distraction so I removed them in PS' - I have no idea how to do that!
You chose to shoot the most difficult floral subject, i.e. white flowers, but of course, you managed it brilliantly, as these two shots show, like most others, my preference is for V1, but as others have said, only just!
Rgds., Jim
