Heron

By moiral
Evening all. Am quite chuffed with myself tonight as this is the first time I have managed to achieve a halfway decent shot of a heron. Not only hand held, but manual focus as well Grin. The white thing sticking up on it's head is actually a feather so didn't clone it out as it is meant to be there Tongue, which translates as I am lousy at cloning - still!
Thanks for C&Cs on yesterday's upload.

Just a near perfect compostion. Great execution.
Take a bow Moira that's a great shot of a Heron in Scotland, they always fly away before I ever get this close.

Very well done, Moira: very good shot of it in a very natural setting.
I returned to our local pond today and tried for some more of the resident heron.......still to process them, so am keeping my fingers X'd.Ronnie.
