The happy little tractor

By mrswoolybill
He's a happy little tractor. Happy, because his owners have taken him for a day at the seaside.
Now I know I'm weird in seeing faces everywhere, but this one is pretty obvious. Isn't it?
Despite the details on the boat, this was taken at Cromer.
Thanks for looking,

Must be happy if it is still working in spite of all that rust. More fond of V2 for the compo and its wry looks.

The guy looks as rusty as the tractor! Did you call the tractor Terrence by any chance (a la Rev Awdry)?

I've partially desaturated him because he was taking over the frame. You should have seen him in the flesh!

He does look happy Moira. Surprising it continues to work in that condition but there again I once had a fiesta which was held together by rust!Smile

A wonderful pair of images, and what makes them even better is that I can see the smile on his sun kissed form, and the tan is coming along rather beautifully. GrinGrinGrin

LOL ! this one has as many eyes as a spider!

Apple Butter-- seems each had a job-- all the peeler did was peel and quarter--- another cut the cores and blemishes away
At this re enactment they choose to do it the "old " way including window light only---

Marvellous juxtaposition here, Moira. The woman trying to look as if she is ignoring whatever is going on by concentrating on her reading, and her male companion wanting to know all about it. "Don't stare, dear" she is thinking.

Malc, I asked permission to photograph the tractor but didn't mention that they would be in the shot too... Wink
Cheers everyone, I've been off-site for a bit (it's a lovely day out there for tearing yourself to pieces pruning roses...) Must see what's going on here now.

The most decrepit old tractors are on the beach at Weybourne. Two fine captures here Moira and I am very intrigued with the badge on the tractor in No. 2 ~ I think I would have gone in close on that.

I agree with Dave's comment - about the guy being the same colour as the Tractor. I can see a face.........

Thanks again everyone and particular thanks to Dougie for his Wee Tree.
Albert, I was photographing from the promenade and only spotted the badge in V2 when processing the picture. If you can find out what it means I should be very interested to know - it looks a lot smarter than the tractor!

It's a Fordson Tractor badge ~ it would appear with the orange background it was placed on the Major and Super Major models. A tractor expert could probably pin it down to a year.
