...for once other photographers seemed OK, they add some scale to the mountain across Loch Scavaig.

The weather was wonderful and moody the whole week we were on the island.

Beautiful light and shadow in this Dougie. A beautiful image as always. We're at the ferry terminal in Victoria and I just happen to have a meager little wifi signal. We'll be catching the ferry in the morning to Port Angeles in the U.S.. ..........Sandy

I am glad you were happy with the weather for photography, Dougie: watching the BBC weather reports here seemed to indicate heavy rain more or less all week whilst you were there.
The sun catching on the far shoreline and shoulder of the mountain warms the otherwise subdued tones elsewhere, and as you say the figures do help one's appreciation of the scale of things.

Ronnie it rained all the way there and all the way back but rarely while we were on Skye, when it did it was followed by rainbows and sunny sky.

Wonderful moody landscape with a great bit of lighting and the figures are definitely a bonus.

The light is beautiful and people do give an impression of the scale. Love that moody sky too.

You certainly captured the moment with this 'un, Dougie, with the patch of light on the far shore extending to the photographers' patch on this side.
Before opening this photograph I had Franz Liszt going through my brain; now it's Acker Bilk Smile

A fine shot and the bit of red certainly adds to the scale. You were lucky with the weather, but I have found that some of the worst weather often blows over the islands.

Majestic Dougie. Great use of the telephoto and the figures. IMO one of your best.

Yes Dougie, they add a sense of scale. The lighting is beautiful and I like the dark layer of cloud at the top of the frame.

This is a different shot from this oft photogrpahed place with great timing of the light that wandered past. I think the people add scale and balance and make the shot.

Lovely splash of light on Sgurr na Stri, Dougie and it works well with the togs on the shore.
