Wall of Light

By Scottjessuk
Image taken whilst visiting my sisters house in Kinross shire, she stays in a stunning part of the country and there are always chances to take photographs. This was taken as the sun was going down one evening, I have converted this image to mono because the tones are nicer than in the colour version.

This is intriguing - a mix of light and textures. Plus - that's a remarkable style of dry stone walling, it looks like huge boulders piled quite randomly! One thing I've noticed over the last year is the different regional styles, I feel a visit to Kinross coming on!

Hi Moira

Thank for the Comments, Kinross and the surrounding area has some very very nice scenery, Just up from where this image was taken Is a big forest (Blairadam) which also has great photographic potential. I spent 7 hour wandering through it at the start of last year, long time ago now. Even I haven't explored it to it' full potential but something I should maybe do this year.

Excellent composition and some lovely light on the wall. Can see why you went for mono.

Beautiful shot- would love to see it in colour too, though the mono directs the eye to line and texture very well.
I like the sense of movement captured in the grass

Thanks Dave and Helen, I will try and find the colour version.
